Thea Doidge, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Thea Doidge, our Chief of Staff, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and moved to New England to attend Tufts Veterinary School. After graduating from Tufts in 2008, she completed an intensive internship in small animal medicine (with a special focus on exotics) at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. She then worked for eight years at Littleton Animal Hospital treating rabbits, small mammals, birds, and reptiles in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Doidge joined the team at Lexington-Bedford in 2017, and Burlington Veterinary Hospital in late 2022.
Treating non-traditional animal species has been Dr. Doidge's passion for many years. She started volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center and working for an avian vet in the 1990's, and has always been committed to providing top notch care to all creatures great and small. During veterinary school, she completed several externships, including work at the Oregon Zoo, Franklin Park Zoo, Wildlife Safari in Oregon, Tufts Wildlife Center, Tufts Exotics Department, and multiple private practice exotics vets. In addition to exotics, her interests include dentistry, feline medicine, and geriatric medicine. When not at work, Dr. Doidge can often be found in her garden, or enjoying the great outdoors with her family. She currently resides in Arlington with her husband, two small kids, and two mischievous kitties.
