Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

 

Position Details

Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Status: Part-time (24–30 hours/week)
Salary: $17 - $22 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Rotating Saturday shifts; no nights or holidays

Veterinary Receptionist Duties

  • Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer and route phone calls promptly and accurately
  • Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records in the practice management software
  • Process payments and balance the cash drawer daily
  • Communicate clearly with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Handle prescription refill requests and relay accurate information
  • Educate clients on preventive care, products, and services when appropriate
  • Assist in managing the lobby environment to keep it calm, clean, and organized
  • Support the team with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed
